Abbas Sbeity
Founder & CEO
With over 12 years of experience in cross-cultural facilitation and management across Sweden, the MENA region, and the USA, Abbas brings deep expertise in design to enhance collaborative and organizational development.
Abbas Sbeity is a designer, curator, and cultural manager based in Helsingborg, Sweden. He leads Creative Insights Studio, which offers design and research consultancies for the public sector and development agencies. He also runs his curatorial practice through his newly founded organization, Kulturrummet, which focuses on site-specific, community-driven projects. His work often engages local communities through participatory and co-creation processes, using ethnographic, phenomenological, and critical mapping approaches to explore social, political, and urban issues.
Abbas teaches Design Theory and Management at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (Lebanon) and is a guest lecturer in the Embedded Design program at HDK-Valand, Gothenburg University (Sweden). His extensive cultural management experience includes leading learning projects and grant schemes for civil society organizations, artists, journalists, and cultural practitioners across the MENA region.
Abbas holds an MA in Design from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts and a BA in Architecture from Lebanese University. He founded Architects for Change (2014-2019) and was a member of the MENA Design Research Center, where he managed and programmed four editions of Beirut Design Week (2015-2019).
Hazni Demir
Project Manager
Hazni Demir is a dynamic cultural manager with extensive experience in the creative industries, event management, and community-building initiatives. As the founder of Swing Helsingborg Dance Community, Hazni has successfully bridged cultures through dance, fostering local and international collaborations, including Erasmus+-funded programs.
With a strong fundraising and cultural production background, he has worked with the Şermola Performance Theater Association on multiple EU-supported projects and as an event coordinator at VentureLab by Lund University, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. Hazni holds a Master's degree in Service Management from Lund University, supported by the prestigious Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals. Fluent in English, Swedish, Turkish, and Kurdish, Hazni brings a global perspective to his work in fostering cross-cultural connections through arts and community initiatives.
