Currently, we’re exploring:

Helsingborg's Cultural & Creative Industries

We are currently conducting a study to explore Helsingborg's cultural and creative industries (CCIs), focusing on their current state, practices, challenges, and growth potential. CCIs, encompassing fields like arts, media, design, and digital creativity, play a crucial role globally and are recognized in Sweden as drivers of sustainable development, economic growth, and social value. With a new 10-year national strategy, Sweden has set a vision for CCIs to enhance cultural expression, economic impact, and international presence.

In Helsingborg, a city known for its innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, the municipality actively promotes CCIs, aiming to be a "magnet for creativity and competence" by 2035. The city’s Plan for Cultural and Creative Industries focuses on attracting CCI businesses providing support through networking, skill-building, mentorship, and strategic partnerships. Around 500 CCI companies employ approximately 2,000 people in Helsingborg, contributing significantly to the local economy and culture.

Our study aligns with these municipal and national objectives, examining local CCI enterprises’ needs, challenges, and the ecosystem's development areas. The outcomes will include practical recommendations for both CCI practitioners and policymakers to support the sector’s sustainable growth in Helsingborg.
